casa_blancas: Got my napsack on my back.

Dick's bag was all packed for the road trip. He looked into it again surveying the contents: porn mags, condoms, lucky boxers, 5 sort of clean t-shirts and 1/5 of tequila. The bag was overflowing, so he crammed it all down with his hand one last time. If he forgot anything, he would just buy it. He hoped that Logan would be willing to stop, so they could get more booze, because that wasn't going to last him the first day.

"Heya, Beaver, you all packed?" he shouted down the hall to his brother.

"Yep," Beaver said back. He looked down at his perfectly packed suitcase. A pair of underwear, bottom, top and socks for everyday, along with a neat container of toiletries. Each thing had been folded in a neat square in its own area of the suitcase. He checked everything one last time and lugged the suitcase towards his brother's room.

"I'm ready. Should we head on over to Logan's now?" Beaver asked.

"Dude, if we leave now, we are going to be on time. Let's stop by McD's first for some grub and then we can head over there. I got a hangover I need to kill," Dick said with a grunt.

They tossed everything in the car, grabbed some food and made their way to Logan's. In the driveway, there was one green Volkswagen bug, one yellow Xterra and Veronica's car.

"When is Logan going to buy that chick a new car? It's such a piece of shit, I can't even be seen with 20 feet of it," Dick complained, as they walked towards the front door.

Beaver rolled his eyes and made for the door.

"Did you take that purity test thing that was floating around school, bro? I bet you scored like 500 percent pure?" Dick said as he hauled his backpack over his shoulder. His brother was such a geek.

Beaver shook his head, "Didn't take it. I did hear that Veronica scored like an 8 or something."

"Sweet." Dick said with a laugh and pushed Beaver to the side and rang the doorbell, just as the door was opening.

Last night had been pretty awesome. Logan cherished spending time with Veronica, as cheesy as it sounded.

This roadtrip was also going to be a great way to spend more time with her but also just have fun. Things were sort of, bipolar, lately. From one extreme to another, things were either really great, or really craptacular.

This also meant they could be together, around other people. She seemed to have no interest in being together at school. Or maybe he was just imagining things. Or maybe that was just the way she was now.

Either way, he had high hopes. And he hoped to unnamed deities that Dick wouldn't be a total ass to Veronica or her friend.

He left Veronica in the kitchen as he went toward the door to put their bags in the back of the car. As he got there, the doorbell rand, and he opened the door to find the Casablancas brothers there.

"Hey!" He greeted them. He opened the door wider to let them in. He put the bags down, figuring they could wait. "You guys ready to get the hell out of Neptune?"

Fri, May. 19th, 2006 08:25 pm (UTC)

"Fuck yeah!" Dick said with enthusiasm. This was going to be awesome. He held his hand up for a high five, "Don't leave me hanging, Dude!"

Beaver nodded. He was a bit nervous about the whole road trip idea. Especially a road trip with girls. "Should we put our stuff here or out by the car?" Beaver wondered what the seating arrangment was going to be, but decided not to ask. Dick would just tease him more, if he did.

"Morning tequila shot for anyone?" Dick asked as he rummaged through his overstuffed bag.

Fri, May. 19th, 2006 08:37 pm (UTC)

He grinned and high-fived Dick. "Totally, dude."

He turned to look at Beave. "No worries. Just dump it all here, we'll take it all out before we leave." Beaver was incredibly dorky. But in cute little puppy kind of way.

"Uh, no, thanks." Logan turned down the alcohol. That definitely wasn't a good idea. Nor was it going to make Veronica very pleased with him.

"Veronica's already here." He informed them.

OOC: Is Mac coming?

Fri, May. 19th, 2006 08:42 pm (UTC)

Beaver set his stuff neatly by the door.

Dick managed to dislodge the bottle from the bag and held it up in triumph, "Your loss!" He took a swig off the bottle and offered to Beaver.

"Thanks, but no thanks," Beaver said with a small laugh. He turned to look out at the cars and noticed that someone was in the Volkswagen. He turned to Logan, "Um, do you know the person sitting in the car out there?"

Fri, May. 19th, 2006 08:47 pm (UTC)

Mac was sitting in her car contemplating going in. A whole weekend away with other people was a little overwhelming for her. So instead of actually deciding, she decided to just sit there for a little bit.

Logan was mostly nice and she liked his sense of humor. Veronica was cool, even when she found out about the purity test stuff. Dick and Beaver Casablancas came off as 09er assholes who she didn't care to know. That was two people on the "yes" side and two on the "no" side. She shut her eyes and laid her head back against her new seat. Don't be such a wuss. That would be her mantra.

Fri, May. 19th, 2006 10:07 pm (UTC)

Logan looked over and saw Mac's green bug. "Oh yeah. That's Veronica's friend." Logan waved to her, inviting her in. Why would she just stay out there.

"Veronica! Your friend's here."

Sat, May. 20th, 2006 01:52 am (UTC)

"She has a name," Veronica retorted good-naturedly. She breezed past the three boys with a small "hey" to Beaver, and little more than a glance at Dick, and made her way out to Mac's car. Veronica hoped she wasn't still sitting out there because she was nervous.

"Hey! How's all that money treating you?"

OOC: Is it the new car?

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 03:46 pm (UTC)

Mac smiled broadly at Veronica, "Money, it's a new thing to have, but I must admit to enjoying the fruits of my labor." Most of it she had invested in a stock profile, but she could not resist the new car.

"So are we ready to blow this popsicle stand that is Neptune?" She asked, pushing her apprehension down and opening the car door.

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 04:04 pm (UTC)

"Fruits of labor do tend to be the sweetest." She grinned.

"Just about. We were starting to load up Logan's car when the Casablanca boys got here. Want some help with your stuff?"

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 04:08 pm (UTC)

"Nope, I got it." Mac exited the car fully and grabbed her backpack from the passenger seat. "So any idea where in particular we are going? I actually managed not to get that information from you before I agreed to this roadtrip."

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 04:51 pm (UTC)

"Somewhere in Mexico. We haven't officially decided, but I'm guessing Ensenada. Tijuana is too close to consider it a road trip." She led the way back up to the front door, where the boys were still standing.

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 05:05 pm (UTC)

"As long as no one spills tequila on my laptop, we will be okay." Mac said, eyeing the Casablancas boys. She walked towards Logan's car to load up her stuff.

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 05:11 pm (UTC)

"Dude, who's that freaky chick?" Dick asked Logan. Not freaky in that hot way, but freaky in that scary D&D sort of way.

Beaver smiled at Veronica's friend. "Shut up, Dick," he sai under his breath before she came close enough to hear.

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 07:25 pm (UTC)

Logan gave Dick a light punch in the shoulder. "For once, in your life, don't be such a dick."

Logan watched the girls out in the driveway, and wondered why they didn't just come in. Mac always seemed a little shy. Or something.

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 07:32 pm (UTC)

"I am named that for a reason," Dick said with a laugh.

"It's true," Beaver said quickly. That girl looked really familiar. He wondered if he had seen her in a class before.

"So what's the plan, Captain? Are we heading out of here soon or are the ladies going to gab the morning away?" Dick said to Logan. He turned towards Veronica and the freaky girl and bellowed, "Ladies, the Casablancas/Echolls' love train is on its way out of port!"

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 07:35 pm (UTC)

Logan rolled his eyes and looked at his watch. "Yeah, ok, let's get a move on."

He picked up some of the stuff that was by the door, and headed out to throw them in the car.

"Hey Mac."

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 05:16 pm (UTC)

Veronica grabbed her bag from where Logan had set it down and went to shove it in next to Mac's. "I hear you. I know it's supposed to be a vacation, but I brought mine so I can work on a case."

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 05:19 pm (UTC)

"Mine is just my security blanket. Much like the commercial says, I don't leave home without it," Mac said. "Any good cases I should I know about? I do have expertise in the area, ya know."

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 05:34 pm (UTC)

"Some background for an insurance fraud thing my--" Veronica stuttered. She had told Mac about Keith not being her father. She continued, "--my dad is working on." It felt right to call him that. Of course it did; hadn't he raised her?

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 05:43 pm (UTC)

Mac noticed the catch in Veronica's voice. She squeezed her shoulder, "He's still your dad. Even if his genes aren't a part of it."

"Insurance fraud?" Mac made a "yuck" face.

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 05:48 pm (UTC)

Veronica smiled gratefully.

"It's not the most fun," she agreed. "But it pays well."

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 06:38 pm (UTC)

"That is an important part of the whole working thing, eh?" mac said with a smile.

She leaned a little closer to Veronica and whispered, "So you and Logan are still seeing each other, I see. Is he still leaving presents on your car?"

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 07:30 pm (UTC)

"You better believe it."

Veronica tried to suppress a giggle. "No, but he did come over to help me pack last night."

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 07:36 pm (UTC)

"Is that a ephemism that you crazy kids are using these days?" Winking at Veronica, "We'd better go. Dick seems close to blowing a nut or something. Wow, that was my good ephemism use for the day."

Mon, May. 22nd, 2006 07:36 pm (UTC)

Logan rolled his eyes and looked at his watch. "Yeah, ok, let's get a move on."

He picked up some of the stuff that was by the door, and headed out to throw them in the car.

"Hey Mac."
